Scene By Scene
The Aborigine Muses on the Nature of Dreams
Intention: Again the Aborigine will move into the end of the previous scene and the other actors will melt away as if it is dream for the Aborigine. Also, the next scene will spill over blurring the edges of this individual scene, thus highlighting the fact that the world of the colony is spilling into the world of the Aborigine

Performance Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| 11/10/06 | At the end of ‘Harry Brewer Sees the Dead’ Brendan freezes above Helen on the final line and the Aborigine enters walking cautiously towards them. He then crouches nearby and tentatively reaches towards them but before he can touch him they melt away. This indicates a sense that their worlds are slowly overlapping, that the dream may not be a dream. The music will slightly change to reflect this slow decay. | This moves the scenes on well, cutting off the emotion of the previous scene. The way Helen and Brendan roll out of the scene is both slightly physical but also emphasising the presentational nature of the performance. |
