Artsfest 2010
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th September 2010
Every year The Crescent hosts a stall at artsfest and opens its doors to the public and visiting companies. This year, we have even more on offer!
At the Crescent stall in New Street our fabulous volunteers will be on hand to chat to you about our forthcoming season and how to get involved. They will even be giving away the odd prize or two, so don't forget to stop by and say hi!
The Theatre itself will be open for visitors on Saturday with activities including discussions with directors and actors and a special Dahl’s Corner for children.
Saturday 11th September
Midday - Gerry Lucas the director and a selection of his brilliant cast from A Doll's House will be available in the Main House to talk to you about the show and give you a tour of the set. If you are interested in Ibsen, directing, acting or any other aspect of the theatre, why not pop along and talk to those who are in the thick of it!
1pm - Cherie Rowe who is directing Danny, the Champion of The World in January will be reading chapters from Dahl's classic and a few of his rather silly poems. So, why not bring your children along to the Living Room area of our newly refurbished bar? Cherie will keep them entertained for a while and you can enjoy free tea, coffee and cake from the bar.
