The Crescent Theatre Company presents

The Gin Game

by D.L Coburn

Saturday 14 - Saturday 21 April 2012 at 7.45pm in The Ron Barber Studio
Matinees: Saturday 21 April 2.45pm

[image]Crotchety and lonely, Weller waits for death in a small home for the elderly, with only his playing cards for company. Enter Fonsia.

Not quite a breath of fresh air, but certainly new and with no knowledge of either Weller or Gin Rummy. At first, he is delighted to teach her – but then he loses the first game.

The Pulitzer Prize winning play comes to Birmingham for the first time.

Tickets: £10 (no Concessions)
Tuesday Preview: £5 (No Concessions)

Audience Review

Love the intimate atmosphere of the studio and the way the seats are around the stage. Enjoyed the play, if rather poignant and thought the two actors did a terrific job, they spoke very clearly and conveyed some of the frustrations of old age. Thought the artifacts and music set the mood and period well.
