Audience Comments

The production was marvellous, the story gripping and full of ingenious twists, and threw up a lot of questions. The performances were tight and at times, mesmerising, especially our German occupier and Mrs Becker. The show started late owing to technical difficulties but this was all handled competently and with charm, even.

[The] performances of talented actors, and the choice of this play, which I did not know of before. I enjoyed the stylish dress and hairdo of Tiffany [Cawthorne] - she looked fabulous. In fact, all the costumes worked very well. The music used was also a very good choice.

This was a fabulous production. The cast were all equally strong and delivered nuanced performances full of depth and emotion and consistent characterisation. The story is dark but there is a surprising amount of humour captured magnificently by a combination of a talented cast and superb direction.  The set and the lighting were superb and contributed to the atmosphere beautifully.  The [seating] on three sides of the stage worked wonderfully.  Go and see this!

I thought this was a very well acted play, the strongest all-round performance I've seen at the Crescent.  The story was gripping - I felt tense throughout.  It was a shame that the theatre was only half full - the quality of the performances deserved packed house. I wouldn't like to single out anyone - all very good or better!  Please pass my congratulations on to the cast - they really did do a splendid job. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I absolutely loved this play and the performances given. The whole cast is to be commended for their really excellent performances. I thought the direction subtle and intelligent. I've never felt moved to give feedback before but do about this. It was just fabulous!

Absolutely loved it.  It was a last minute decision to go and see this play and I am very happy I made the decision to go. I did't know anything about the play beforehand.  I have never given feed back before about a play but I felt that i enjoyed it so much i wanted to say something.   I sent an email around to all my work colleagues and friends on the Friday encouraging them to go and see it.
