Midland Opera presents
Jack Faust and Sister Angelica
19th - 22nd October 2011 at 7.30pm in The Main House
An entwined opera double-bill by Midland Opera Jack Faust - Adapted from the Gounod opera and Sister Angelica by Puccini.
Europe c.1918: Somewhere in no-man's land an impossible figure strides through the carnage, conjuring up visions of lost loves and earthly delights.
Protected by his pact with the devil, Jack Faust apparently has nothing to fear from man or nature. Eventually, though, he realises the hollowness of his 'virtual reality', especially when he finds himself caught in the slipstream of another tortured soul with a shadowy past...
Midland Opera binds the tales of two spiritually-challenged characters into one diabolically uplifting evening, which seeks to establish whether two wrongs can, after all, make a right!
