by Jacques Offenbach

Following last year's spectacular production of Verdi's Macbeth, Midland Opera presents a unique take on Offenbach's fantastical opera 'The Tales of Hoffmann'.
Hoffmann's struggle with love, truth and his own demons take shape in memorable way with conceptual setting and glorious singing of Offenbach's tuneful score. Direction is by Andrew Potter of Birmingham School of Acting, whilst the players of the Queens Park Sinfonia play from specially-commissioned orchestral reduction, conducted by Musical Director, Phil-Ypres Smith.
