The Taming of the Shrew
Shakespeare explores the sexual politics of marriage
The new man in town, Petruchio, wins the unruly Kate’s hand in marriage, but will his less than conventional methods succeed in taming her temper and scolding tongue? And, with Kate married, will her sister Bianca and her secret lover Lucentio be free to marry?
The Crescent Touring Company returns to Shakespeare’s controversial yet comic battle of the sexes for its summer tour in 2009. The heat is on!
Please bring your own seating (no high-backed chairs please, unless you are prepared to sit at the back), or a rug to sit on, a picnic for the interval and be prepared for any weather the English Summer can throw at us.
