Comedy Night
Mon 5th October 2009 at 8pm in The Bar
The Crescent Theatre’s semi-regular comedy night returns with another cracking line-up for a Birmingham Comedy Festival special.
Headlining is Birmingham’s own Jo Enright; comedian, writer, actress, who has appeared in Phoenix Nights, I’m Alan Partridge, BBC2’s LabRats and Britain’s Got the Pop Factor. For more than a decade now, this highly acclaimed comedienne has crafted a completely unique style of stand-up comedy. "One of the most naturally gifted comic talents I've ever seen." - PETER KAY
Support comes from East-Midlander Jim Smallman, who, with 2 Edinburgh one-man shows under his belt, has been bringing his own brand of oddball observations to stages all over the UK since 2005.
Also supporting is Louise Stokes: actor, novelist, poet, playwright, lyricist, artist, recently turned character comedian in the guise of Nicola Goff, the Goth.
Compere for the evening, as usual, is local comedian Craig Deeley; “Brilliant” – Mrs Deeley
