Charity Christmas Carol Concert in Aid of World Vision
December 22nd 2006 at 7.30 (doors open 6.30) in The Main House
A one-off charity Christmas concert will be held on Friday 22nd December in the Crescent Theatre, Brindleyplace, Birmingham. The concert will feature the award winning Re:Mission Choir plus two exciting support acts, Soul Sisters and Urban Assault Dance Team. The concert will feature an upbeat mix of traditional Christmas carols and uplifting original music. The concert is suitable for families of all ages. Proceeds from the concert, estimated at £2000, will be donated to the international charity World Vision. Tickets are now on sale and can be requested via charityconcert@blueyonder.co.uk.

The Cause
World Vision – all of the proceeds of the evening will be going to the internationally recognised charity, who employ 23,000 staff around the world. Through their work, they are touching over 100 million lives in 100+ countries in their struggle against poverty, hunger and injustice, irrespective of their religious beliefs. They are one of the world's leading relief and development agencies.

Internationally acclaimed Re:Mission have been touring the gospel scene for the last 15 years. Established as one of Britain's leading black gospel groups, Re:Mission have developed their own unique and exciting sound which incorporates black gospel grooves with a flavour of their Jamaican roots, which has taken them to perform extensively across Europe and the USA. They have supported and performed with Kirk Franklin, Beverly Knight, Mica Paris, Jools Holland, Gareth Gates and Daniel Beddingfield to name but a few.
Soul Sisters
A fresh and exciting new young soul duo. Becky and Josie Okeghie are just starting out on their rise to certain stardom. They will be singing with their band and bringing the full flavour of their own unique gospel sound to the performance. Their voices are sure to make the hairs on your neck stand and your hearts and minds will be captivated. Their sound certainly not forgotten.
Urban Assault – Dance Team and Youth Choir
Urban Assault are a group of young performers from Solihull and will be taking to the stage for our show stopping finale. We assure you that your seat will become an obstacle when your feet start tapping and your hands start clapping. Even those who would not call themselves natural dancers are sure to find themselves in front of the mirror at the end of the night.
