The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby - Parts I & II Main House
Adapted by David Edgar
12-14 & 17-21 May 2005 at 7.15pm* (Matinees 14th & 21st at 2.30pm)
Dickens' epic tale of one Nicholas Nickleby, originally
brought to vivid life by the RSC; the Crescent Company presents Parts I & II on
alternate nights and both parts on Saturdays.
The play brilliantly recaptures the sights and sounds of Victorian England along with the memorable characters Nicholas encounters on his journey to manhood and success. Described by the Critics as "one of the great theatrical experiences of our time". With a cast of over 40 playing over 100 characters, these fast-moving plays exploit the Crescent's main house stage to the full. The seamless production uses an imaginatively designed set with 16 entrances at three levels. Nicholas Nickleby requires a large cast so opportunities to see it are limited - don't miss this rare event! See Parts I and II on the same Saturday for £12 (if tickets bought at the same time) See Part I and Part II for £14 on two weekdays (if tickets bought at the same time) *Note the slightly earlier than usual start times!
Part I: 12th, 14th (Matinee), 17th 19th & 21st (Matinee)
