A Servant of Two Masters Summer Tour 2005A farce by Carlo GoldoniSee below for dates and locations Fasten your doublet and pull up your hose as The Crescent Theatre presents Carlo Goldonis classic comedy A Servant of Two Masters. Set in 18th Century Venice, this play has enjoyed numerous successful productions over the years. This new production promises a high-energy rollercoaster of a ride sumptuously costumed and imaginatively staged. Confusion reigns when the impoverished Truffaldino decides to enter into the service of two masters at the same time. Unfortunately, the two masters he chooses are separated lovers on the run, each unaware that the other is in town which is not difficult as one of them is in drag. Add another pair of young lovers, some very dodgy servants and a huge feast and you have a recipe for comedy mayhem. The Crescent has a long tradition of doing summer touring theatre in the West Midlands. The performance in Brindleyplace kicks off the 2005 tour which will take in venues including Harvington Hall, Ragley Hall, Castle Bromwich, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Botanical Gardens. This high-spirited, freewheeling romp is a perfect confection for summer. Bring a picnic along to any of the performances to complete the experience! Please note: all performances are outdoors and we cannot usually provide seating at these locations - please bring your own low backed folding chairs or blankets to sit on. The English summer weather is unpredictable so be prepared for rain. We regret that we are unable to give refunds in the event of inclement weather. Dates, Locations and Times
