Two respected physicists from Germany and Denmark, long time friends and colleagues, meet after a period of time that saw the world change and individually end up on opposing sides of a World conflict. The meeting is fraught with danger and embarrassment. Why they met and what they said, are questions which have exercised nuclear physics ever since and Frayn explores these in his play originally staged at the Royal National Theatre.
