The Archers Summer Treat

Everyone’s looking forward to The Archers Summer Treat, which is taking place at the Crescent Theatre this June.  It is organised by Archers Addicts, the official fan club for BBC Radio 4’s The Archers.

Archers Editor, Vanessa Whitburn introduces David and Ruth (Timothy Bentinck and Felicity Finch - see picture) who pay tribute to a well-loved character and share some of the secrets of their craft.

The Ambridge debate gives you a chance to say what you think about what’s going on while ‘Eddie Grundy’ (Trevor Harrison) insists on chairing quiz show, ‘Call my Fluff’ himself, so be warned.

Those of you who are interested in the technical side will learn from Sound Supervisor Louise Willcox, how actors fight, kiss and make up – how lambs are born and champagne corks popped.

You’ll meet members of the cast and there will be all sorts of quizzes, competitions, prizes and surprises! Of course if it all sounds too much like hard work you can just sit down, put your feet up, shut your eyes and listen!
