Educating Rita MAIN HOUSE
a comedy by Willy Russell
Frank, a tutor in English, disillusioned with life and education, seeks solace in the bottle, until a young hairdresser turns up at his rooms to take an Open University course. The meeting turns both their lives upside down. Rita, the hairdresser, hungry to learn, finds a meaning in life and a way out of a failing marriage, challenges Frank's perception of education and during the academic year both learn something about themselves. Willy Russell's play is comic, touching, serious and thought provoking by turn.
