By popular demand, The Crescent is reviving its acclaimed production of last year with Pat Dixon playing Shirley Valentine.

Hidden inside Mrs Joe Bradshaw – 42 year old mother of two grown-up children – is the former Shirley Valentine longing to get out.

When her feminist friend offers her a free holiday in Greece, Shirley seizes the opportunity. Willy Russell wonderfully portrays, with humour, sympathy and insight, a woman breaking out of the mould cast for her by society.

* The performance on Friday 20 April is in aid of the Jason Mitchell Appeal for Spinal Injuries and all tickets are 10.
