This classic evergreen farce is set in Oxford during Commemoration Week in 1882. Charles Wykeham’s aunt from Brazil, Donna Lucia, is due to pay him a visit and this provides Charles and his friend Jack with the excuse they need to invite their young ladies to tea. However, when a telegram arrives postponing Donna Lucia’s visit, the boys are in desperate need of a chaperone for the young ladies. So naturally they persuade their good friend Babbs to impersonate the aunt – and the fun begins.

Tickets are available from the venues or through the Crescent Theatre Box Office.

All performances are outdoors. Please take your own seats or blankets as seating is not provided. We regret that we are unable to give refunds in the case of inclement weather (at Middleton Hall, in the event of poor weather, the performance will take place in the Great Hall).
